Although service-learning is a relatively new concept to Australian schools, it has gained many strong supporters among teachers, students, administrators and community members. Those of you with some experience are encouraged to offer support and resources to teachers who are starting their journey; administrators can provide learning opportunities for teachers at forums which we will promote through this site; community partners can suggest creative ways in which students can work with your organizations. This web site is a place where you can connect. Sign up for the Newsletter, join one of the Email Discussion Groups, submit outlines of your service-learning projects so we can put them on the web site; add your contact details to the service-learning practitioners’ list; encourage your students to make a video of the way in which they are making a difference in their community, and we’ll put it on the Service-Learning Australia You Tube site. |
