• Identify the students’ talents and treasures.
• Select the community to be served (school, local, state, national, global).
• Assess community needs (research, interviews, expert presentations etc).
• Select a broad area of community need.
• Engage in reflection and intellectual enquire throughout.
• Monitor progress and process.
